Based on Toaist philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine uses a holistic approach to curing disease. Its treaments can include herbal medicines as well as acupuncture and massage.
Although different schools of philosophy exists, their commonality lies in viewing the processes of the human body as interrelated and constantly interacting with the environment. Traditional Chinese Medicine differs from Western medicine mostly in their view of desease in relation to the person. As the well know saying goes: Chinese medicine treats humans while western medicine treats diseases.
