Shawn Selfridge
Shawn originally trained as a massage and myofascial release therapist. Shawn has completed a five year osteopathic program and is currently a thesis candidate with the Canadian college of osteopathy. He has dedicated most of his professional life to continued education, attending postgraduate course in Canada and the United States to develop his skill in clinical practice.
Shawn has taught massage therapy at Northumberland in Halifax and believes in learning by teaching which he incorporates into educating and empowering his patients.
Shawn enjoys treating all conditions from pediatric to palliative, with an interest in difficult conditions from migraines to chronic pain.
Shawn’s focus is meeting his patients “where they are”, and supporting the HEALTH of the person and their healing process rather than focusing on symptoms.
Shawn is a student of the natural world, has a background in dance, martial arts, and enjoys yoga, sailing, and cycling.
